Resistive Touch Panel
A resistive touch screen panel comprises several layers, the most important of which are two thin, transparent electrically-resistive layers separated by a thin space. These layers face each other with a thin gap between. The top screen (the screen that is touched) has a coating on the underside surface of the screen. Just beneath it is a similar resistive layer on top of its substrate. One layer has conductive connections along its sides, the other along top and bottom. A voltage is applied to one layer, and sensed by the other. When an object, such as a fingertip or stylus tip, presses down onto outer surface, the two layers touch to become connected at that point: The panel then behaves as a pair of voltage dividers, one axis at a time. By rapidly switching between each layer, the position of a pressure on the screen can be read.

Surface Acoustic Wave Touch
Surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology uses ultrasonic waves that pass over the touch screen panel. When the panel is touched, a portion of the wave is absorbed. This change in the ultrasonic waves registers the position of the touch event and sends this information to the controller for processing. Surface wave touch screen panels can be damaged by outside elements. Contaminants on the surface can also interfere with the functionality of the touch screen.

Infrared Touch Panel
An infrared touch screen uses an array of X-Y infrared LED and photo detector pairs around the edges of the screen to detect a disruption in the pattern of LED beams. These LED beams cross each other in vertical and horizontal patterns. This helps the sensors pick up the exact location of the touch. Unlike capacitive touchscreens, infrared touch screens do not require any patterning on the glass which increases durability and optical clarity of the overall system. Infrared touch screens are sensitive to dirt/dust that can interfere with the IR beams, and suffer from parallax in curved surfaces and accidental press when the user hovers his/her finger over the screen while searching for the item to be selected.
Benefits
- Withstands severe environments
- Adjusts to changing light conditions
- Stable, no-drift calibration performance
- Vandal- and abrasion-resistant screens, ideal for rugged applications
- Parallax-free performance for LCD displays
- Sealable against contaminants
- Choice of controller interface. AR/AG glass options
- Choice of filter type or overlay for system protection and optimal optics
- Detects essentially any input
- No require any patterning on the glass
Application
It’s mainly used in indoor/outdoor kiosks, ticketing machine, ATMs, medical instrumentation, process control systems, hospital operating rooms, commercial transportation, commercial food preparation and service applications.

Projected Capacitive Touch
Projected Capacitive Touch (PCT/PCAP) technology is a variant of capacitive touch technology. All PCT touch screens are made up of a matrix of rows and columns of conductive material, layered on sheets of glass. This can be done either by etching a single conductive layer to form a grid pattern of electrodes, or by etching two separate, perpendicular layers of conductive material with parallel lines or tracks to form a grid. Voltage applied to this grid creates a uniform electrostatic field, which can be measured. When a conductive object, such as a finger, comes into contact with a PCT panel, it distorts the local electrostatic field at that point. This is measurable as a change in capacitance. If a finger bridges the gap between two of the "tracks," the charge field is further interrupted and detected by the controller. The capacitance can be changed and measured at every individual point on the grid (intersection).
Benefits
- True flat front surface without bezel possible
- Works with gloves for true input flexibility
- Works even if glass is scratched or broken
- Works accurately track touches
- More robust than resistive touch
- IP65 front surface
- Support 10 multi touch
- Support Windows, Linux, Mac, Android
Application
It’s mainly used in outdoor kiosks, ticketing machine, ATMs, Web phones, Pay-at-the pump gas machines, Through-glass, under-counter, and bartop applications.

Touch Foil
Touch Foil is a state of the art plastic type material that applies to the inside of your storefront or glass window and can provide the ability for consumers to interact with a touch screen on the glass. Touch Foil actually has no resemblance to foil of any sort and in reality is made out of plastic; however the technical term for this product is touch foil. Touch Foil touch screens are primarily used for thru glass touch screen applications, what this means is that the touch screen foil is applied behind the glass or inside the store window for storefront touch screen integration.
Benefits
- Low power consumption, the maximum consumption with only 0.5w
- Flexible, could be applied to curve surface screen
- The film sensor could be laminated on any smooth nonmetallic flat
- Various size from 19" to 100", lowest cost customization
- Safety and robust
- Antiscratch, laminate on the back
- Waterproof, dustproof, bulletproof,
- No mechanical components with long life
- Industrial temperature range: -20 °C to +80°C
- Support 10 multi touch
Application
It’s mainly applied in retail storefront display, museum displays, touch screen LCD retrofits, trade show exhibits, real estate windows, shopping malls car dealerships.

Surface Capacitive Touch
A capacitive touch screen panel is a special metallic conductive material, when the user capacitive touch screen, the user fingers and face to form a coupling capacitor, because the work surface connected with high-frequency signals, so your fingers will siphon off a small current, the currents from the four corners of the screen out of the electrode, and the theory flows into four electrodes and the finger is proportional to the square of the distance, the controller through the four current ratio of precision calculations, location of contact points can be derived.
Benefits
- Flat front surface without bezel possible
- Fast, sensitive touch response with excellent dragging performance
- Compatible with industry standard protocols
- IP65 front surface
- Support Windows, Linux, Android
Application
It’s mainly used in POS, industrial controls, kiosks, gaming and amusement applications.

Surface Light Wave Touch
Surface Light Wave is an innovative multi-touch technology that mainly use the light wave propagation characteristics of certain band combining with the light wave emission circuit, so that the light wave will form a complex and dense surface light wave network on the touch screen surface. When there is contact entering into the surface light wave network, the network will be damaged, as a very dense fishing net were torn, which we call as the phenomenon of “broken net”. Then the signal receiving circuit receives the damage signal of the entire light wave network. Bt analyzing the degree of “net broken” of light wave, thereby achieve multi touch identification. Surface light wave is a truly multi-touch technology, which is able to achieve the touch of 2points, 10points, 16points and 32points or above, to change any LCD display to multi touch display without changing the liquid crystal process.
Benefits
- Zero pressure, supporting any opaque materials, plug and play, drift free
- Better performance , no cross for line if multi people draw/write together
- Wider application circumstance and adapt strength light environments
- Better Resolution at 32767×32767 distinguishing minor jitter
- More touch points options at 2, 4, 6, 10, 16, 32, 48 points with the same good performance
- 100% light transmittance
- Support Windows, Mac, Android
- More content on the touch screen setting, faster touch response
Application
It’s mainly used in indoor/outdoor kiosks, amusement, gaming, casino, digital signage, applications.
